The Measurement of Colonic Transit Time in Patient with Neurogenic Bowel(A Case Report)

Abstract
A case of measurement of colonic transit time in patient with neurogenic bowel caused by cauda equina syndrome is presented. The traumatic constipation in people with spinal cord injury generally have shown a prolongation of total colonic transit
time
that is predominantly caused by slowing through the rectosigmoid segment. Several measurement methods have been introduced for the properties of traumatic constipation, but the marker studies are more helpful than the other data in making a
diagnosis of
traumatic constipation. We reported the case and the literature pertaining to colonic motility and measurement of colonic function.
